DIY: Pimp your photos in vintage-pastel style

1-2-3-4

Sometimes pictures we made of nice places we have been stay in the drawer. And it is too bad! The principal problem I see for people who want to hang up their pictures on the wall is that it creates an color mismatch that often doesn’t fit with the colors of the room. Here is a piece of solution: convert your preferred photos in black and white (I used the software “Aperture” because my pictures have a great quality and it would be too bad to reduce it) and “stick” a shape filled with the color you wish on it. Crop the assembly in a shape you like (square, dot…)
For those who are not confident with Aperture, photoshop or similar, these digital manipulations are all possible with Power Point. But the image you will save at the end will not own a quality high enough to print it as a poster, but it is sufficient for a A3 format.

I made it with my personal photos, taken in: (from the left to the right, up to down) île de Bréhat (Brittany, France), île de Bréhat (Brittany, France), Capraia (Mediterranean Sea, Italy), Missillac (France).

If you do the same, I would recommend to frame it in a white square frame and combine it with a soft pastel pink pillow:
